My comment is a little bit late, now it is already August, but I do wonder if simply buying a high-tech equipment qualifies a center to claim itself as the premier neuroscience center in Malaysia, let alone in Asia? Is it simply a feel-good-factor after such buy, or an attempt to appease the critics and the doubtfuls? One ought really to visit USM and evaluate this claim. Is there readily a lecturer or researcher around who could use this high-tech equipment? Are the students prepared to plan research project utilising the equipment? Thank you for the update.
